Today is Tuesday, March 31st. Kevin went down today to the Huntsman cancer treatment center in St. George and had two bags of sailing solution administered to help hydrate him.

7 days ago Kevin had lost 6 lbs. in two days due to vomiting and not eating. At that time it was decided to stop all "protocol" treatment and simply give him food that would help stop the weight loss. 

Since that time, Kevin has gained a few pounds back, however, he has also become quite weak in the legs and has not had any energy whatsoever. He has also had very little desire to eat, walk around the block, or sit in the sun. He has not taken any supplements, and his back has been having spasms for the past 5 days that has kept him from sleeping well or being comfortable.

Kevin's PH has also been on the acid side the last four times checked (the last time we checked was 4 days ago).

Kevin's doctor reviewed the P.E.T. scan and also the M.R.I. with us today. There appears to be no signs of cancer in the brain, however Kevin's abdomen is full of cancerous growth. This was not "new" news to us, however the "type" of cancer appears to be what is called a "Neuro Integrin Carcenoma" which is a very rare and extremely aggressive colorectal cancer originating from the liner of the colon wall. The scan shows that it has spread quite extensively, and the doctor has (again) given a poor diagnosis.

HOWEVER! We are officially (again) rejecting this prognosis. As long as there are people who care enough to pray for Kevin and fight alongside him, THER IS HOPE.

Tonight we are going to be creating a new protocol that will take in consideration all that we have learned to date. This new protocol will be followed and adjusted as needed. His progress will be tracked and recorded and we will adjust as needed.

Every person I talk with has asked how they can help Kevin. Please continue to keep Kevin and his family in your prayers. If you don't pray, but love Kevin, now is a good time to start. I have heard Kevin say numerous times now that he can "feel" people praying for him. He needs to continue to feel your loving prayers, and so does his family.

This Saturday Steve Hughes has organized a car wash/bake sale "fund raiser" for Kevin and his family. Rite-Aid is graciously allowing us to do this in their parking lot on the Boulevard and   Bluff Street near Smiths in St. George. It will be from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Anyone who reads this and is able to come help support us in our efforts please do so. Update March 8th 2009

Kevin came home on Tuesday, March 3rd 2009.

It's been a very busy week for Kevin and his family.

When Kevin came home from the hospital he moved very slow but was able to walk on his own. Laura drove him home in the mustang and he walked from the car and sat in a chair outside is house. He sat in the sun for about 10 min. and then went inside to rest.

 

Each day since then Kevin has been slowly doing better and better. He had a very small appetite the first few days home. Since being home, Kevin has been enjoying freshly juiced carrots and eating very small portions of baked potatoes, fresh organic fruits and veggies, drinking pure filtered water, and getting approximately 20 min of good sunshine twice each day. 

 

Kevin is on a very strict order to get plenty of rest that he has been happy to follow. Today is Sunday and he has had a host of guests and visitors throughout the week and weekend, but has been very good about napping or resting as needed. His color has returned and his energy level has slowly increased.

 

On Thursday Kevin returned to the hospital to have stitches put in part if the incision that had opened due to vomiting the first morning he was home.

 

Today he had an upset stomach most of the day, partially because he made a conscious effort to stand up straight (when standing). Laura (an RN) has reminded him that the scar tissue will form to the position he takes most, so standing "straight" has been painful, but important.

In addition to the Gerson Therapy, Kevin will begin a protocol next week that treats cancer in another way, but does not interfere with the Gerson Therapy.  It is called “OCC” (Overnight Cancer Cure) combining DMSO and the MMS protocol, both proven to be very safe.

The treatment called the “Budwig” protocol (mentioned in my first post) is also one we will be working with, however the cottage cheese/flaxseed oil mixture is what caused Kevin to vomit, therefore we will need to wait a few weeks before implementing this protocol.

 

In searching for the proper treatment we have realized there is no “one” silver bullet, although there ARE cures! We will (and are) doing everything we can to assist Kevin’s fight and overcome his cancer and to make the doctors’ prognosis false.

 

I (personally) feel confident that with prayer and proper treatment, God willing, that Kevin, like many others, will overcome this challenge and grow because of it.

Dear Family and Loved ones of Kevin Moe,

This is my brief attempt to explain Kevin’s recent health condition. Please remember that this is only from my view (being here) and may not be exactly accurate or complete. Forgive me if it’s not…

On the day of the Super bowl, 2009, Kevin complained of stomach pains and indigestion, not wanting to eat the jalapeno poppers that Joni made because he was afraid his stomach would not handle it (although he had a few anyway!). Over the next couple of weeks it did not get any better, but he did not complain much or go to see a doctor, thinking that it was a stomach flu that would go away.

On Friday, February 20th, 2009, the cramping reached a point of pain that was keeping Kevin from sleeping that night (he had also barely slept the night before). He decided he had had enough, and on Saturday night, February 21, 2009, Kevin drove himself to the local urgent care here in St. George Utah for answers and relief.

Based on his symptoms, the urgent care first thought that his gallbladder or a gallstone was causing his pain. They told him to come back in a few hours, and after several tests, x-ray, and CT Scan, they had determined that it was a blockage in his intestine, which the doctor told Kevin that this meant colon cancer. The doctor told Kevin that they could not do a colonoscopy (or anything else for him) until Monday, so to go home until then.

Sunday, February 22, 2009 - Kevin did not sleep at all Saturday night, and the pain continued to worsen. Kevin had a full night and day of vomiting and diarrhea, and intense cramping, to the point that he laid next to the toilet because he was too exhausted to go back and forth anymore.

Laura came home Sunday afternoon (around 5:30) from working in California. Kevin’s pain was getting to the point that he could hardly breathe, so Laura took him into the emergency room that night and had him admitted.

Kevin was put on a muscle relaxant and a pain medication that helped him get sleep (after 3 nights of NOT sleeping and in constant pain, he was completely exhausted).

Monday, February 23 Kevin had the colonoscopy and it was determined that the blockage in his intestine was a tumor. The doctors scheduled Kevin for surgery the next day (Tuesday 23rd). His pain continued to worsen after the colonoscopy. (It was later determined that he had a ruptured colon caused by the air that is forced into the intestine -for the colonoscopy- that was trapped in his upper intestine past the blockage).

Tuesday, February 24, 2009 – Kevin continued to have pain that seemed to worsen throughout the day. He commented that he couldn’t wait to get in there and have the operation to relieve the pressure. His stomach was now very bloated and seemed to continue bloating all day (remember the air that was trapped?). At around 1:30 in the afternoon they came in and took Kevin for surgery.

Laura had been next to Kevin’s side from the time she returned from California. She waited in the surgery waiting room throughout the surgery. After approximately 3-1/2 hrs the surgeon came out and called Laura in for the results.

The surgeon told Laura that the surgery went very well. He then proceeded to explain that the blockage was more than one tumor. He had found multiple cancerous tumors in his colon, kidney and liver. The surgeon said he removed a section of the large intestine. He also removed the appendix and part of the liver, and scraped the kidney.

The surgeon said that the cancer had spread and that they did the best they could to remove as much of it as they could. He said he had brought in another surgeon to help him because Kevin’s intestine had burst (remember the air trapped?) and they spent quite a bit of time cleaning the organs from the inside areas so as to evade any infection.

The surgeon also said that he recommended chemotherapy and radiation, and that if those treatments did a good job in slowing the cancer’s growth, that in his estimation Kevin could have up to 1 ½ years of life. The surgeon told Laura not to tell Kevin because it would be easier on her if he (the surgeon) told him.

Devastated, Laura went back to Kevin’s room with the news, not sure what to think, what to do, or how to tell him. As she approached the room she saw that Kevin was already back. She went into the room and took Kevin’s hand and smiled as Kevin slowly opened his eyes. Kevin spoke in a very weak, slow, quiet whisper; “how did it go? Have they said anything yet?” Laura told him that the surgery went well, but that the cancer had spread and he would need to undergo chemotherapy and radiation.

The next week has been a rollercoaster ride for Laura and Kevin and the kids of emotion uncertainty. Kevin came home today and is looking great. He is looking forward to feeling healthy again. Kevin has started on carrot juice which has every nutrient that mother’s milk has (very good!).

Kevin has started eating but is still in a fragile state. Kevin’s goal is to get “healthy” as soon as possible so that his body can undergo treatment and begin killing off the cancer through healthy and nutrient rich treatment.

I have discovered that there are over 300 "alternative" treatments and cures for cancer. It is very clear to me is that with cancer the orthodox way is to treat "symptoms", they DO NOT HEAL PEOPLE!

This was confirmed by the hospital that Kevin was at when they told him they cannot cure him; they can only make him comfortable. Please do not make the mistake of thinking that chemo and radiation will do any more than slow down the reproduction of cancer cells. This is an obvious additional measure, but not a cure. However, after researching (as much as possible in the short time we have had) I now feel extremely reassured that there ARE very real options. Having said that, the following "alternative" cure (not just treatment) I feel may be the best one to implement with Kevin. This is a powerful combination of 5 different cures or aids to curing cancer, one of which is the Budwig Protocall.
